About Lianna

Lianna "Chicky" Greene began her journey into middle-eastern dance some 7 years ago. She has danced for Sheiks Delights, Raks Habibi, and is now the choreographer and troupe leader for Zaphira UK. Lianna teaches regular classes in Eastbourne, Lewes and Heathfield, (East Sussex).

Lianna has attended workshops and shows from a variety of professional instructors, including: Storm, Keti Sharif, Sara Abou Farat, Khaled, Shafeek, Jo Wise, Asmahan, Orit Maftsir, Maria D'Silva, Raphaelle, Beatrice Curtis, Margaret Krause, Princess Farahna and Ozgen, to name but a few.

As Lianna is committed to a dance career with a focus on lifelong learning, she was lucky to be one of the first to be handpicked for Hossam and Serena Ramzy's Drumzy Advanced level course in Egyptian Dance, now being a proud member of their dance company. Lianna is a member of the institute of learning who has also completed her JWAAD Foundation training. She is also a trained midwife.

Lianna's fun fusionesque style and lively choreography are the trademark for Zaphira UK. Lianna is available for workshops, performance, and tuition. She specialises in: understanding of rhythms, musical interpretation, drum solos, egyptian fusion and double cane.
