Fourth Post

Well, Thursday was probably the worst day yet best night of the year! During the day, everything went wrong, which only meant that all the bad luck was out of the way for the evening, and it was brilliant! Of course, to add to the misfortunes, there was an unfortunate suicide on the Brighton line, which meant the film crew couldn’t get there, and one of the performers nearly didn’t make it either!

I have to say, though, Planet Egypt was wonderful. All the dancers were well looked after and appreciated, and the atmosphere was electric. There was a live Egyptian Band due to the star Asmahan’s birthday, and there was a varied mix of performers. Zaphira’s Kath, Sarah-Fay and Sylvia came in support, along with my close friend Mary, and my husband took the day off work to pick us all up in style afterwards! I’ve been buzzing for days, although am now absolutely exhausted and have now pulled my shoulder, (neck is fine now!)

Had Drumzy course day today, lots of exciting things coming up, is going to be a busy month!

  1. Hey girls, love the photo and feel gutted i couldnt be there on the night, it sounds like you all had a good night in the end. I cant wait for the hafla tonight, just hope little Myst Eva will behave herself. I know u will all do well tonight, cant wait to watch and im really looking forward to getting back into dancing (hope i havent lost my touch).
