Wow! What a lovely sunny week it has been! It makes everything seem so much better!

Well, the students are counting down to the Lewes Arts and Awareness Festival held over Easter Bank Holiday weekend, see www.worldance.org for more details. It should be a great weekend with lots of workshops, shows and activities, (some of which are free)! Me, Zaphira and a few Il Nana members will be opening the weekend at Lewes New School on Good Friday at 1pm for 30 mins – this is one of the free events for the weekend, so please come down and support us! I will also be holding a beginners taster workshop to Shakira’s Hips Don’t Lie on Saturday 11th April at 9.30am in The Subud Centre, Station Street, Lewes. Tickets are available from the above website or from the Visitor Information Centre in Lewes High Street from next week. There may be a few tickets available on the day, but advanced booking is recommended. This will be before me and my family jet off to Cyprus for the week, (a week following my wedding anniversary – where we got married in Cyprus – we may actually get to see the island this time!)

I have also just confirmed 2 workshops that I will be holding in Hailsham Freedom Leisure centre – dance studio 1. The 1st is on Sat 23rd May – Bollywood Fusion, and the 2nd on Sat 18th July – Drum solo. Both are from 11am til 12.30pm and tickets are available through class or email me for further details. These workshops are aimed at all levels, even the complete novice may be surprised at what they can achieve! Early booking is strongly recommended!!!

Zaphira have started work on our tribal fusion peice, which is incredibly challenging. Sarah Fey is currently in Peru on a 2 week adventure, and Iris will be rejoining Zaphira in the next couple of weeks, we have really missed her!

Finally, I have just confirmed that my guest star performer for the Egyptian Nights II Show will be the fabulous ATS Tribal dancer Hilde! (See picture image by kerbe.co.uk) We are all really excited!
