Although original members had danced together in previous groups, the four members that remain, (Lianna, Iris, Kathleen and Tina) collectively dreamed of creating something spectacular. All dancers that have since joined the troupe have been handpicked from all over the South East of England, performing previously from a variety of dance/Bellydance backgrounds with a multitude of experience by many teachers. Dancers that have now joined zaphira include; Becky, Shanna, and newest members; Sarah-Fay and Sylvia. Please click on individual troupe members for their biographies.
Under the leadership and choreography of Lianna "Chicky" Greene, their fun, fusion-esque style is the trademark for Zaphira, and their sincere love for the dance is evident in their performance. Please see the showreel for bellydance highlights of 2008!
Zaphira perform at regular haflas, (bellydance parties), corporate and charity events. They are the feature troupe in the annual "Egyptian Nights" Show produced by Lianna, please see the news page for further details.
